Metaverse became a big buzz after Facebook announced that they are rebranding themselves as Meta. Though Facebook is spending time to develop technology and there have been no major rollouts. But suddenly everyone started talking about the metaverse.
Microsoft is also running in the race and no one wants to be left behind in the rapid growth of metaverse. Recently, Trademarks have been filed by the world's largest fast-food restaurant chain McDonald's to set up a store in the metaverse on February 4.
The company is planning to provide both virtual and real items that can be delivered to customers. Virtually, the company is planning to provide NFT (Non-Fungible Tokens) tokens for virtual food and beverages in the form of artwork, text, videos, or audio that can be downloaded.
Only time will tell the big plans that American fast-food giant McDonald's has taken and the future of potential use cases in the metaverse.
